Switch & Socket

High-Quality Switches and Sockets

High-quality switches and sockets are made from durable materials that can withstand wear and tear over time. They can offer improved safety, enhanced performance, longer lifespan, reduced maintenance costs, improved reliability, and enhanced control.

At Romel, The products we produce are made to meet the International Electrical Committee standard.

The Ethiopia Conformity Assessment Enterprise has set five criteria and we are proud to say that we have successfully met all of them. These criteria are as follows:

1. Marking – According to the criteria, marking should be visible and easily legible. Trademarks or identification marks, rated voltage, and symbols for the nature of supply should be clear. To pass this criterion, Romel’s switches have been tested and shown to have visible and easily legible markings that meet all of the criteria.

2. Protection Against Electric Shock – When mounted and wired as in normal use, live parts should not be accessible. Load capacity is tested with an electrical life test. To ensure that our products are safe, all of Romel’s products have been checked and passed this criteria after the test.

3. Breaking capacity – According to the criteria, the switch should reach 200 operations. Unlike the different samples we tested earlier from the market which failed and broke in the middle of the test, Romel’s products have been proven to pass this criteria.

4. Normal operation – To pass these criteria, we have checked Romel’s products 40,000 times on and off, according to the standard, to ensure that they operate normally.

5. Mechanical strength – To pass this criteria, an impact test is done to ensure that our products show no damage that could impair further use and that entry holes for the pins do not show any damage that may impair safety. After this test, our products are mechanically strong and safe for use.

For a socket, we also check it 10,000 times to ensure that it meets all criteria and is safe for use.
